Jan 16th 2011 Went to the Smithsonian American History museum which has A LOT of artifacts from American life through the centuries. I arrived late and didn’t finish all the exhibits by 530 so I’ll be back tomorrow. Some of the highlights include: Dorothy’s ruby red slippers from the movie The Wizard of Oz, Inaugural ball gowns worn by first ladies. A lot of George Washington’s personal items were on display as well.
